Let us suppose Bhaskar has lived all his live in a city in Kolkata. His thinking will be limited to the beliefs of the local society and his parents. Whereas Anil keeps travelling. Can you envisage the difference in Anil’s and Bhaskar’s visions? Development of our mind and intelligence is influenced by society. Our perspective is narrow.

Which country to choose for an MBA?

MBA in Europe

“Education is the passport to the future for tomorrow belongs to those who
prepare for it today”
                                                                               ~ Malcolm X

An MBA is a dream for the future which you start dreaming while still in high school. Isn’t it? And an MBA abroad seems too good to become a reality ever. Why? Because we feel confused. There are 7 continents, nearly 200 countries and hundreds of business schools in the world. So, what should we choose first? Business school or country? Should we go for an MBA in Europe?
Here is the answer. You should choose the country first. Because, if you focus on particular business schools, it will narrow your horizon. You should make a list of countries where it is feasible as well as practical to go for an MBA.Now, how to make this list? Here are a few important pointers to help  you to shortlist the list of countries:-

Qualifications required
1)  Qualifications required:- You need to have a work experience of 3-5 years to take admission in most business schools. Whereas, some business schools only accept a 4-year graduation degree. Tick off the names which don’t suit your eligibility. MBA in Germany requires only 1 year of work-experience.

2)  Culture and spoken language:- In some countries you may not be able to understand the local language. Or, maybe the people do not have a positive attitude towards foreigners. Living in such a country is difficult. On the other hand, if you Study MBA in Ireland, for example, is an English speaking country with friendly citizens. A strong Asian community too exists there. You should include such countries in your list and rule out the hostile ones.
student placement

3)  Placement and student counseling:- Gather information about the institute whether they provide help to the student in procuring a job or summer training. Raise your preference bar for them.

4)  Student-friendly policies or laws:- some countries allow the student to stay back after completion of the course, for job search or work. This work experience will lay the foundation of your work-experience and glorify your resume. Some countries also give you a PR status after working for a particular period. Push up such countries to the top of your list.

5)  Ranking:- World Rankings like QS rate the educational institutions based on academic reviews, faculty etc. you can Study MBA in France because its business schools are ranked among the top 10 in the world.

6)  Local Guardians:- It always helps to have local relatives or friends in your destination country. You never know what circumstances may arise. Arry Singh, a brilliant student, came back leaving his studies incomplete (and a year of his student life), saying that he felt lonely and like an ‘alien’ with all the unknown people and foreigners. Local acquaintances can make a world of difference.

7)   Tuition fees and Scholarships:-Explore countries that can give you globally recognized degrees but they don’t bore holes in your pockets.  MBA courses in Lithuania, for example. Also find out the scholarship programs of that country the support deserving students. You will find many such options.
8)  Duration:-  Mostly MBA is for 2 years but if you do MBA in Hungry, its duration is only 1 year. MBA courses in Austria also have options of 15 months duration.
Keep these pointers in mind. Wish you a bright future!
